Turkey Fry

Oh yes... the fried turkey experience. I love cooking a fried turkey! Better yet, I love eating one. Ever had one? Taste just one and you'd swear off the traditional cooked bird.
Today's experience was pretty cool. I sat outside bundled up in winter gear, smelling the deep fry spices and watching it snow. Yep... snow! The neighborhood was serene. It is beautiful outside, cold, calm, with a soft drifting of snow covering the grown.
I thought about much while sitting there (besides eating). I'm a blessed man. Family, friends, job, church, ministry... you name it, I'm blessed.
And I thought about what I read in Colossians this morning. "He is the first born... everything that is made was by him". That's talking about Christ. So it goes to reason, every blessing I enjoy, He did it. Every snow flake, quiet moments for reflection, family, friends, etc... all because of Him. I'm thankful. I hope you are as well.
